Hospitality Assistant – Food Services in Aged Care

Allity is currently seeking catering assistants on a casual basis to join the team at Little Para Aged Care. We are looking for people that are passionate about providing excellent catering services to residents including serving meals, dining room set-up and clearing. You will need to have flexible availability to cover planned and un planned leave at short notice. Generally the role will includeUndertaking basic food preparationWashing and storing equipment in the kitchenServing meals to our residentsFantastic customer serviceWorking in the cafe including barista services and food preparation Working within a team To be successful you must demonstrate the following:Basic Food Safety Practices CertificateFlu Vaccination and evidence (this must be obtained prior to interview)Sound hospitality experience including coffee making skillsSound food preparation experience (Ideally in an Aged Care or Health Care environment)Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasksHighly motivated and able to take initiativeExcellent communication style – able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of peopleTeam playerCustomer service mentality Please note: Our recruitment process involves the completion of a national police check.   20 AUD Australia - SA Adelaide

Generally the role will include
  • Undertaking basic food preparation
  • Washing and storing equipment in the kitchen
  • Serving meals to our residents
  • Fantastic customer service
  • Working in the cafe including barista services and food preparation 
  • Working within a team

 To be successful you must demonstrate the following:

  • Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
  • Flu Vaccination and evidence (this must be obtained prior to interview)
  • Sound hospitality experience including coffee making skills
  • Sound food preparation experience (Ideally in an Aged Care or Health Care environment)
